Become a Closing Recruiter

A recruiter's job is to close an open role and a recruiter's performance is determined by how fast he/she is able to deliver qualified profiles to the hiring manager and close in quick TAT
There are some recruiters who are good at closing roles, recruiters who have the knack to close roles
What differentiates these recruiters from the ones who are equally or more talented and who share amazing profiles as well but are not able to close roles that often?
Closing a role is a combination of various factors including your luck J and belief from both sides, candidate has to have belief in the company and vice versa
And as a recruiter your job is to strengthen that belief, how would you do that?
As in test cricket, there is a saying that the first hour belongs to the bowler and as an opening batsman you need to look for survival, same way as a recruiter you need to make sure you need to be highly disciplined and unbiased when you start sourcing and that’s what closing recruiters do, they make sure to follow eligibility criteria and tick all the boxes and they win the confidence of hiring managers, but at times it's difficult to source and you might not get right fit, as a closing recruiter you need to have the audacity and skills to communicate with the hiring manager that the candidates you are submitting miss the given criteria but still would fit and are best as they have these skills which are good to get the job done.
Closing recruiters strengthen the belief much better and make sure they communicate effectively with the hiring managers
Also, they are always linear in their approach means they would not go wayward in their submissions, you submit 2-3 good profiles and submit 2-3 pretty average ones and that will not help, you got to stick to the hiring criteria and the candidate persona required for the particular role.
As a recruiter, your discipline is very important and that’s what closing recruiters practice every day
